Vintage Scottish Full Mask Otter Sporran - Wonderful vintage otter fur sporran with glass eyes. head lifts up to show pouch. The sporran has some minor fur rubs to his eyebrows which you would expect after almost 100 years, somehow this adds to its character. In good used antique condition. Tooled back with this design.

Circa 1920 Slightly smaller than modern sporrans. Vintage pieces from the 1920's period tend to be smaller than the Victorian sporrans but have a great style to them. Size Approx. 8″ x 6″ = 21cm x 15cm

The Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra), also known as the European otter, Eurasian river otter, common otter, and Old World otter, is a semiaquatic mammal native to Eurasia. The most widely distributed member of the otter subfamily (Lutrinae) of the weasel family (Mustelidae), it is found in the waterways and coasts of Europe, many parts of Asia, and parts of northern Africa. The Eurasian otter has a diet mainly of fish, and is strongly territorial.
